Launching of Switch Off Campaign - During this campaign all young Irsyadians
were reminded on the importance of reducing carbon footprint through effective
use of electricity at school and as well as at home. They were advised to always
switch off any lights, fans or any electrical appliances when not in use. As a
constant reminder to students, school has created a 'switch off light when not
in use' label to stick to every light or fan switches in classrooms.
To raise awareness on the importance of protecting our planet & the need for everyone within Al Irsyad -teachers, parents & school children to take action. We believe if teachers, parents & students work together and demonstrate school own conservation efforts to improve our environment, insyaAllah our young Irsyadians have a better chance of growing up to do the same.

Carbon Challenge @SRAIB
Event Date: 26 March 2009
Carbon Challenge session was held on 26th March 2009 (Thursday) at Year 6 class. The CC started at 10:45 a.m. till 12:45 p.m. involving 49 pupils from year 4, 5 and 6. The session was led by Pn Raja Tatina and assisted by five volunteers from BP.
Feedbacks from the students after the session were very encouraging. They were all excited and enjoyed by the knowledge they learnt from this session.

Half an Hour 4 Clean Up!

Another regular activity, Half an Hour Clean Up was held to cultivate students
to love clean school environment, with the hope they would continue do the same,
loving and keeping clean environment to this world when they grow up. This
activity involved students from year 4 to year 6. The clean up started after
they finished perform "Solat Sunat Dhuha" in the morning.

Earth Hour 2009

A big card was created to get pledges from all Irsyadians during school day and as well as from parents during the PIBG meeting to support this worldwide event to switch off light for one hour . This is to show Irsyadians' commitment to support the worldwide pledge to reduce carbon foot prints....

myScience Workshop for Teachers
Event date : 20 - 22 February 2009
Attending BP myScience workshop @ KL International Hotel was the 1st activity that kicked off myScience project for SRI Al-Irsyad Balok. After the school was informed of being selected for BP myScience program, two teachers from SRI Al-Irsyad Balok was sent to attend the workshop, organized by BP.
The workshop was held to brief teachers on the program and was attended by teachers from 23 schools from KL, Kuantan and Kerteh. SRI Al-Irsyad Balok was the only private school selected for this programme this year. Thus we would like to thank BP for giving us a chance to participate. Alhamdullillah we truly appreciate for this given opportunity !

SRAIB Goes Green

Tree Planting @ SRAIB is one of many activies decided in support to reduce the carbon footprint... Some trees or plants were contributed by parents thru our 'Satu Keluarga Satu Pokok' campaign...Thanks parents for your contributions to better our environment.
Watch out for SRAIB's Tree Planting Day as it is coming soon....!! Teachers, Parents and Students be ready to join effort ,planting trees at our school!!!
Landscaping @ Irsyad - Another effort to beautify school's landscape, contributed by a parent and alhamdulillah 95% of landscaping avtivities are almost finished. Young Irsyadians also joined effort in beautifying school by lending their hands in painting or decorating the bricks.... Jazakallah.
