Recycling Effort @ SRAIB....

The Recycling @ SRAIB started on Mar 20th 2009 , after we managed to get used bins from a nearby factory. To show a recycle effort from the start, school decided to use used bins rather than getting new plactic bins from MPK .Teachers and some students has joined effort painting the recycle bins. The bins were then labeled as for Plastic, Paper , Glass and Aluminium Bins. Students were encouraged to bring any of these recycle items from home.

The objectives of this programme are;

1. To educate students always recycle and reuse,

2. To educate students to love their nature and protect their earth from
pollution, and

3. To educate students try to reduce the uses of paper to decrease the tree
cutting.

Alhamdulillah for aluminium recycling, we have managed to get 200 cans since
launching.



Event date : 10th April 2009

All recycling items were successfully sold to a recycling company. The total
weight was 32 kg.

10th April 2009-All recycling items were successfully sold to a recycling company.

Event date : 6th May 2009

The total weight recycling items sold was 43 kg.



Event date : 20th May 2009

The total weight recycling items sold was 56 kg.



Event date : 15th June 2009

Students Year 2 were required to collect recycle items such as papers,
plastics, bottles etc. The class that collected the most will be announced as a winner. The campaign started from 15th June till 25th June 2009.



Event date : 26th June 2009

All recycling items were successfully sold to a recycling company. The total
sold in weight is 197kg.



Event date : 29th June 2009

The heaviest recycling materials collected from Year 2 went to Class 2 Usman
(10.7 kg) followed by Class 2 Ali (10.46 kg) and Class 2 Bilal (1.6 kg).

We also received recycled papers from parents. Seen students and teachers worked together to arrange and bind the papers before being sold.

Recycling items (papers and plastics) were successfully sold this morning to the
recycling company (Naturage Sdn Bhd). The total weight of recycling items is
209kg.

Recycling Campaign for Year 1 and Year 3.

24th July 2009, weighting day for the recycle items to decide the winners.

Results are:

The total weight of Year 1's recycle items is 39.42 kg

1 Abu Bakar - 6.02 kg, 1 Umar - 10.45 kg, 1 Khadijah - 22.95 kg)

The total weight of Year 3's recycle items is 175.42 kg

3 Talhah - 19.02 kg, 3 Zubair - 49.4 kg, 3 Sufiyyah - 107 kg
